My stay in Italy was amazing! The thirteenth of October I travelled to Italy in a plane, with six classmates and three teachers of our high school. We participated in a project called Comenius. Comenius is a hiking project and was in English. It was the first time I travelled to a plane, but it was a good moment. We arrived to Venecia and we went to the Hotel. This day was one of my favourites because we visited the city of Venecia and was amazing! It’s incredible and very pretty! This night we had dinner in a restaurant, and was very expensive but the pizza was very good. The next day we went to Tregnago, to met our families. In this day I was very nervous but the family was very friendly. My partner it’s very nice and I talk with her now, with Facebook or with Whatsaap. We did differents walks. The Wednesday we did a short walk and we saw “Trabucaires”. Was exciting! . On Thursday we did the most long walk and the landscape was very beautiful. On Friday we went to Venecia again and I bought some presents for my family and my friends. On Saturday we went to Verona, and we visited monuments, like the house of Julieta and the “arena of Verona”. Was very nice. Sunday was the last day, and I was very sad. All the family and me cried. This travel was so amazing that I will never forget, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the lenguage and culture of other countries. I met incredibles persons, italians or of other countries, and I was funny with my classmates too. I learned to speak better English and I took many photos. I love Italy! by Marina Sendino

Report from Italy

Report from Italy
At first we travelled by plane to the airport in Milan Bergamo and there we were picked up by the bus driver of minibus. We arrived to the hotel San Felice. It is about 25 km from the city Verona in Illasi town. We had pizza in hotel. Next day we met with the teachers and pupils from the hosting school in Tregnago.
After lunch in good restaurant we had easy trekking in Tregnago. At the evening me and  another boy from Romania were picked up by my family. They live in a house far from Tregnago in mountains. I thought they live at the end of the world without internet and with problematic signal. It was little bit shocking for me because I live in the city. On Wednesday me and my Slovak friends were presented our presentation about Devínska Kobyla near Bratislava and we sang 2 songs. In the afternoon we went for easy trekking to Mount S.Pietro, were we could see the pistonieries. On next day  we went to Alps. There were very beautiful view. In family it was better today. They are nice people. Their father is cool guy, mum is funny and with Elena and her brother Tommaso we had a lot of fun. We played games at evening and we went to Giazza for pizza. I think the best for me were the visits of Venezia and Verona. I could visit a lot of beautiful churches – Basilica in Venezia, Tower in Venezia. I saw canals with gondolas, shops full of souvenirs and masks. I bought magnets and mask. At last day I said goodbye with  my hosting family and they gave me some presents typical for their region. I miss them and I am happy to meet so good people like them. It was unbelievable experience for me to visit northern part of this beautiful country Italy.

A report from Poland

Comenius, Together... We make the way!

Report from Italy!

From 13.10.2014 to 19.10.2014 five students and two teachers from our school went to Italy.

On Monday we came by plane to Bergamo. Unfortunely, it was raining, but we had umbrellas so sightseeing was possible. We ate real Italian pizzas, saw many beautiful building and what was the best for everyone - breathtaking Old Town on the hill! Next we went to Trenago. It is a small town which is situated close to Verona. Our families live there. They welcomed us warmly. Before that we ate lunch in a luxurious restaurant. Then, we went for a walk round the town. On Wednesday, majority of members of this project were trekking on Badia' hills. When we were on the top, there were two men and they showed us a very noisy utensil and told us some interesting information about the region. On Thursday we went hiking in the mountains. The view enchanted us because there were so many valleys, colorful trees, even we met a chamois. That day was hard and everybody just wanted to be in a bed as soon as possible. The next day should be the biggest tourist attraction, but we were a bit disappointed. Venice turned out not charming. The reason is that many buildings need renovation and only the main squares are impressive. We visited Strada Nuova, Ponte di Rialto, San Marco and others. On Saturday we had some lessons at school. Then every country had to plant a tree as a symbol of union. After lunch we went to Verona. We visited Castek Vecchio, Piazza Erbe, Ponte Pietra and Balcone di Giuletta. We had 2 hours of free time there so some people did shopping, the others visited more places. We had a great time. This city will be always in our heart.

Unfortunately, on Sunday we had to come back to Poland. In the end we saw Verona's panorama. The journey was exhausting. We counted our means of transport and the number is shocking- 9 changes! But I have to admit, this adventure was worth it.

Every group took photos before eating and dancing.
There was a lot of kind of music, for example, Spanish and Bulgarian.
It was a fantastic night. We had a great time. Finally we had to say goodbye to that people and  it was very difficult and sad because we were very comfortable there.

The first day, we arrived at Cluj-Napoca aeroport. We sleep in the hotel. At the next morning, we went to the centre of Cluj-Napoca and we dropped our bags at the hostel.
After we went to visit the city. First, we saw the monument of the anticommunist resistence. Then we walked to a museum but it was closed.
Was lunchtime and we went to a restaurant. After lunch, we visited the most important square of Cluj-Napoca, in which there a very large statue.
At the afternoon we visited monuments of the city and we went to kids concert and we dinner tipical food of diferent countries.
The next day, at the morning, we went to the square. There we played football and ate something of food.
After, we went to lunch and we visited other place of the city.
That afternoon we us went to Cluj-Napoca and went to Remetea.
Cluj-Napoca is a beautiful city, I like it, more than I expected. I was surprised with this city.

Oradea by Helena Flo

On the 4th day of the meeting, we went to Oradea. There we saw a few ponds full of water with flowers, frogs and turtles. That site was called Baile Felix. Later we went to visit the city, gave a few turns and took photos with some statues he had there in a square. One of the most important churches was one I had as a moon in the upper part and it was according to the phases of the Moon, is the only church is everyone who has a moon. Then we gather everyone up to the coach. This led to a very large and very nice monastery. Later we went to eat at a restaurant, the food was very good: soup, chiken  and potatoes. I was liked all the food. For dessert they put us a very rich chocolate tart. When everyone had already finished eating, took us 2 hours to a mall to buy there what we would like. The day was great and made us good weather. The truth is that this trip to was a great experience and a memory that I will not forget.

The Bear Cave by Oriol Pueyo

We came to this cave located near the village Chiscau-Pieroasa in one of the tours we took on our trip.
Bears hid here, more than 15,000 years ago. It is said that the rock cave entrance was blocked and more than 140 bears were locked inside. Without food and water they killed each other until they all died.
The guide told us that the cave was discovered in 1975 and after 5 years the cave began to be used as a tourist destination. It has more than 1500 meters, and features 2 floors for tourists and another floor for the researchers. There are more than 1500 pieces of bone, and over 140 skulls on the walls of the caves there. There are scratches left by the paws of bears.
In the cave we could also observe countless statues forming stalactites and stalagmites. It was quite cold and wet.
Outside we saw a market for local handicrafts.

Hiking Activities by Pau Recort

In the Comenius trip we did a lot of hiking activities. For example, we did a short walk in to the town, Cluj, to visit some monuments, squares and buildings. Also, we walked to a museum, but we had a problem, it was closed that day. On Wednesday we did a short hiking in the mountain to the Meziad cave, it was so nice. OnThursday we did another walk, longer than the others, to the Padis Mountains, it was so good. In Padis Mountains we saw another beautiful cave but it was dangerous and people could not enter. Also, we went to Oradea to walk around it and visit it. On the last day, Saturday, we walked to the bears cave; it was so beautiful and it had some bones and animals corpses. All activities were interesting.
